We study neural basis of decision making to understand how the brain cope with the changing envionment. Our research goal is to understand the neural mechanism of decision making and how does the body interacts with the brain to control our choice. To this end, we develop new techniques to identify the network motif underlying a specific behavior by using barcoded virus, calcium imaging, and in-house spatial transcriptomic analysis. Because the brain is the organ to process information, we use math to extract the information encoded by the population of neurons. To reach our goal, we employ a range of techniques from molecular biology to physiological measurements, and mathematical tools(see Research).

We are looking for passionate new PhD students, Postdocs, and Master students to join the team (more info) !
