Quality of DC Power Supply Matters(2/14)

　 After watching no obviouos signal from my brand new SiPM in the oscilloscope, I finally decided to carefully examine the manual. Then I found a statement “Using a power supply with minimum ripple and noise is recommended”. Just to be sure, I replaced my brand new tiny DC power supply to the ancient, gigantic one sitting in the lab from the last centry.

All of a sudden, SiPM starts to emit a pulsatile signal in response to a single photon! The signal was so beatutiful, maybe because it looks simila to an action potential.
